After spending several days with this book, I can confidently say it's one of the most comprehensive treatments of Game Design and Design Frameworks available today. The section on Mechanics and Systems alone is worth the price of admission. My only critique would be the slightly narrow focus, but this doesn't detract from the overall excellence of the work.
